Over the past several years, China has purchased 370,000 acres of farmland near many of our most important military bases and critical items of infrastructure - much of it deep in the heartland of the United States.
Chinese entities have purchased farmland near -
- Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota: Fufeng Group, a Chinese company, purchased 370 acres of farmland near this base, which hosts sensitive drone and intelligence operations. The proximity, about 12 miles, sparked concerns about potential surveillance capabilities.
- Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg), North Carolina: Chinese-owned farmland has been reported near this major Army base, a hub for special operations and training.
- Camp Pendleton, California: Land purchases by Chinese entities have been noted near this key Marine Corps base, critical for West Coast military operations.
- MacDill Air Force Base, Florida: Farmland acquisitions near this base, home to U.S. Central Command and Special Operations Command, have raised alarms due to its strategic importance.
- Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas: Chinese-linked entities reportedly own land near this base, which conducts pilot training and is close to the U.S.-Mexico border.
In light of Operation Spiderweb, the danger is clear.
Operation Spiderweb was a covert drone attack executed by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on June 1, 2025, targeting Russian Air Force assets deep inside Russia during the Russo-Ukrainian War. Described as Ukraine’s longest-range and most audacious drone operation to date, it aimed to disrupt Russia’s air superiority by striking strategic bombers and other aircraft at multiple airbases.
Planning and Preparation
• Timeline: The operation was meticulously planned over 18 months, starting in late 2023 or early 2024.
• Logistics: Ukrainian operatives smuggled approximately 150 small first-person-view (FPV) drones, modular launch systems, and 300 explosive payloads into Russia. These were concealed in wooden cabins designed to resemble mobile homes, mounted on trucks. The cabins had remotely operated roofs to launch the drones.
• Deception Strategy: The SBU reportedly hired unwitting Russian truck drivers to transport the disguised containers to locations near the target airbases, such as fuel stations or roadside laybys. This minimized suspicion and allowed the drones to be positioned close to their targets.
• Technology: The drones were Ukrainian-made Osa ("Wasp") quadcopters, each carrying a payload of about 7 pounds (3.2 kg).
Execution
• Date and Scope: On June 1, 2025, 117 FPV drones were launched simultaneously across five Russian airbases: The operation spanned five time zones, with Belaya Air Base, over 4,300 km (2,700 miles) from Ukraine, marking the farthest strike.
• Tactics: Drones were launched from trucks parked near the airbases, reducing the distance to targets and bypassing Russia’s air defense systems like the S-300 and S-400.
• Targets: The operation focused on Russia’s Long-Range Aviation assets, including Tu-95, Tu-160, and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, and A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft. These aircraft are critical for launching cruise missiles and coordinating Russian airstrikes on Ukraine.
Impact
• Damage Claims: Ukraine’s SBU claimed that 41 Russian aircraft were hit, with 34% of Russia’s strategic cruise missile carriers either destroyed or damaged, estimating $7 billion in damages. Specific targets included Tu-95, Tu-22M3, and A-50 aircraft. NATO and open-source intelligence estimates suggest 10–20 aircraft were destroyed, with 40 damaged, though Russia downplayed the losses, admitting only “several aircraft caught fire” in Murmansk and Irkutsk.
• Strategic Significance: The strikes disrupted Russia’s ability to launch long-range missile attacks on Ukraine, targeting aircraft that are no longer in production and difficult to replace.
It is quite possible that 2,000 Chinese suicide drones are sitting right now in dozens of containers on farms scattered around across the heartland of America, all just a 15-minute flight from their targets.
Xi Jinping of China has fallen from power; but if Xi launched a successful sneak drone attack, while the U.S. was distracted with Iran, he might just be swept back into power...
By the way, this idea of Xi suddenly attacking Taiwan and the U.S. - a sneak attack like Pearl Harbor - is not my own crazy idea. It was suggested today in Lei's Real Talk on YouTube. Lei is a sixty-year-old Chinese-American video blogger who specializes in following the CCP. Lei was one of the first analysts to spot that Xi's generals were being systematically murdered, purged, and/or suicided. Now 15 of them are gone. Xi is desperate.
